brief overerview of the game
Village Kingdom

The game’s format is mainly inspired by the likes of monopoly, risk & poker, none the less an original game, not a very strong storyline so far but its designed to allow the user create one.
A combination of strategy and chance with up to 12 all tradable tokens and 4 territories each owned by a different character from the start
Its designed as a competitive game with a lot of surprises in store it futures some elements of violence for the thrill in the game,so it may not be suitable for children, it is mainly targeted at 16 - 24 year old audience. Its made to be as simple as possible so it should be quick and easy to learn and play.

Playability - tested - from 6 - 20+ mins
Single 6 sided dice - ideal play - 3/4 player
Rules slightly differ for 2 player mode.
Players are allowed to create their own rules in of the game which must be agreed before the game...
Standard game rules available.

Materials, in this gameboard titled Game Ball it has 2 different levels top one and bottom one and they are to be both visible from the birds eye view. The level 1/ floor on lounging area was made transparent from both sides to make the bottom level visible.

3:
Lighting was a bit of a challenge, trying to get a fair balance can be tricky when it comes to avoiding it hitting too hard not being light enough inside the Level 2 area. I finally got a target light that worked perfectly in one part and managed to create a great effect that cased low shadows from the objects by cloning the light 3 more time.

The Design

1:
I started with the Roman poles/pillars because they are the main symbol of the theme that I was going for. And I thought it would be something different on a board game.

1b:
I then designed the furniture and placed it on the main part of the board. But unlike the pillars that are there only for the design purposes, the furniture is as much part of the game as the ball and the levels floors on the game according to the rules of the game.

cannot wait for mapping time, and when it does come, Results!! come out and for me this is when I know the foundation is complete, everything becomes easier to put in place. its easy to see whats right and whats wrong.

My 1^st idea of the Board game for the EMM: Animation module was called building bridges its about a character jumping from house to house and breaking saving other people trapped in the houses.

I have not written it off yet.

But I decided the idea made a better electronic game than a Board Game.

I went for a much more standard but still a 'kick ass' and fun, Pin Ball type like Board Game with a twist, its set in a luxury 20^th Century mansion (I think this is the halerious part...c, am luffin - lol)

An eye catching realistic 3D modeled image by Wangshiyong from one of the stunning portfolios I came across on http://www.3dm3.com/.

This image particularly stood out for me because of how realistic it appeareas at first glance. It was sometime between 3rd and 4th lookagain that started to believe that this image was not a real photo.
it had me asking questions like how long did it take to model and how it would appear in a 30fps film. its definitely inspirering and I would like to design something like this, so real and so attentive to detail. I believe this is the future of 3D, Film and Art.

The final SBB logo.
I kept the colour orange as the theme of the logo and the SBB text is in bold font with an orange fruit texture inbetween the borders.

because the theme was my main point of focus
its a stage show, perfomance by SBB Dj..
all noise makers love loudspeakers, don't they?.. thats why the speakers are the main props in the mis en scene.

using basic shapes, squares, and rings I created the black and green speakers

Sphere objects where used for the head and body and cyliners to create the hands legs then manipulated to the best form and fit the model of the SBB Dj character

it had to be in a dungeon like or some wiered location outdoors ..I used a tube 2 create a wall around the setting and did not put a roof on.. I was finding it difficult to make th lights flash like at a proper concert, however I discovered some really great objects called the ring waves and they make great effects so i layed them on the floor.

the original logo was of a guitar with SBB in small print on an orange background.. orange being a friutful colour at the same time meaning harzard, the guitar representing music that SBB produces.
I came up with that one simply because I thought it looked nice but with futher reseach and a more depthy look into other major cooperate brands I reconsidered the logo and made a few alterations
here are a few examples the logos that i looked at..

what these three have in common is the fact they they are very much popular amongst the younger age group wich is the target for my brand also.
what I find to make very appealing is the text font and main bold letters that is unmisable no metter what type or colour background these logos get put on they can still stand out and represent what they stand for, mine should also do the same

The characters
‘Blue’ and ‘Green’ where made with clay dough, even though I could have used some ready made toys, I wanted to be creative and make some really unique figures.
The whole concept of this Stop Motion film titled 'Green n' Blue' is a music video animation, even though it is mainly inspired by the children TV series such as the originally French, 1960s 'The Magic Roundabout', the Swiss 1980s Pingu and the big screen award winning UK’s 'Wallace and Gromit' where all the characters were made from molded plastcine modelling clay on metal armatures, and filmed with stop motion clay motion.

Synopsis
The story is about two best friends, Blue and Green live in the North Pole, they spend most of their time together. Blue is the immature one who is always up for playing and Green is the more mature one who likes to be at home reading and watching the news, but he looses his screw sometimes.
However they do not do any talking and most of the narration is through their acting. A series of events or scenes of some fun times are put together to make up a video of happiness.

Production
The first shot [bird's eye view] shows a white surface witch is the snow on it there are two seats a yellow recliner and a red chair both made from clay dough, the music track starts playing as the 'Green' walks into the shot from left, heads for the red chair n stands on it (because he can't seat properly), in the same shot from the right 'Blue' appears on a surf board swoosh across, then jumps off the board and lies back on the yellow chair. Cut to a shot now they are playing football [bird's eye view] Blue passes the ball to Green for the second time he misses it, the football roll out f the shot and it turns into a red and yellow striped Snake, they start to play around together with the snake, and fade [using dissolve] to another scene very white background, where an apple is the center object. From the right top angle 'Blue n' Green' appears and they are walking towards that apple, they then reach to it and eat this very huge apple, in the same shot as if they died they both fall on their back.
fade and out to a [crane shot] in witch they are moving round and round each other, the image is distorted a single frame after a single frame and it goes for a few frames that becomes a great effect for a dance music video.
Blur out to a [bird's eye view], in the scene Blue at the left of the screen and Green on the right side, a dot appears on the floor as if by magic it to grows and then transforms into a character and he is called 'Orange'. The newly born Orange along with Blue n' Green all take a ride on the snake and play around for some time.. that’s translated into

Outcome
Filmed in mostly natural light and a couple of fill lights, a plane white towel became snow on screen, perfect habitat for the two pals Green and Blue.
With a mini DV camcorder on a holiday tripod, I took nothing but continuous still shots. I had predicted a much faster 6 frames per second but I had to reduce it to 3 fps due to the certain speed and visual effect desired. Even though after watching the finished piece and realizing they were still some improvement required especially with the timing and the frame rates, I still enjoyed the experience and enjoyed watching the video.

One Shot Film - Music Gangsta

Music Gangsta
The one shot film is a scene from a story of a gangster who happens to be a music producer by Chris Wallace 1993 titled ‘Music Gangsta‘. The scene is of the main character Gangsta’s everyday life as he goes in his office/studio to do some work but can’t stay for too long because he has to attend a call. In the Film Noir genre
In this one shot film I was aiming to pick up greatly caste shadows and smoke. I find smoke always represent danger (no smoke without fire) and shadows represent death or other dark forces. This one shot film is mainly inspired by the old and the greats like Dead On Arrival and Detour.1940s -50s post world war times where Hollywood’s main focus was on such issues like paranoia and all other kinds of fear as of at the time that is what was going on through peoples minds.
To set out what I considers a perfect 'mis en scène'/setting for film noir one shot film, I gathered a few props like a desk and a chair (office) key lighting with Venetian blinds that will pattern like shadows and smoke from a cigarette. In the test shots I realized our lighting was not powerful enough for the desired effects. I managed to get a decent shot after four takes.. the lighting may appear to be a little bit poor though.
but the story is set out like this when the character walks in an office (worms eye view), takes of his jacket, sits down n in a chair lights (master shot) up a cigarette and takes a sip from a big golden bottle all just before he turns lcd flat wide screen monitor of hit PC but not too long after his phone rings and he has to leave the room.. the film fades to black and the shot film is complete after a total of six takes. Originally I was not supposed to use any other lighting but key lighting and objects to caste shadows into the shot, because I was experiencing difficulties catching the smoke being blown in the air I ended up having to use the room light with more editing I can improve the film.

Outcome
Shooting on location away from a studio make some preparation difficult not as much for the mis en scene though but when using three point lighting method you may find that almost impossible, most of the time you may just have to compromise. In this one shot I wanted to caste some really hard shadows using no fill light but just key lighting and objects to create shadows.
I cut a piece of cardboard in strip lines to let some of the light to go through in, when this is done properly in a dark room it should give an effect like the venation blinds half open, which is what I was trying to achieve but with very poor lighting I was not quite successful because of poor lighting.
